OLFING AT MORANGIE HOUSE HOTEL
Tain has its own golf course, which is situated on the shores of the Dornoch Firth. The course is on grounds known locally as the Morrich More where whins, bends, natural bunkers and the river Tain all add to its sense of character and challenge. The design has holes that play to all points of the compass, making each round a unique experience. The course is always in excellent condition, thanks to a team of enthusiastic greenkeepers. In 1992 Head greenkeeper Ian Macleod was awarded the honour of being the Premier Greenkeeper of the Year in Scotland. Whatever time of the year you choose to play, Tain golf course is always in excellent condition. The Morangie House Hotel can make reservations and arrange discounted green fees for Tain Golf Course. Tain Golf Week is held the first week in August each year and is open to non-members - a fantastic competition with over 100 competitors. The course is 18-hole, par 70 and open all year. Telephone: 01862 892314.
